In its second CD, Mawaca brings the relationship between the Iberian and the Brazilian music, the influence of East on the West, the communion between the sacred and the profane, street festivals, the corners anthropophagic Indian and Japanese immigration, Italian and Jewish, the Mawaca reveals deep in Brazilian culture.In the repertoire, the congados from the interior of São Paulo, the songs of the Brazilian slave-african festival of drums, the religious melodies from the Portuguese areas mixed with the of bumba-meu-boi and songs from the churches in Minas Gerais; the litany of pastors united the melody of a Gregorian chant, a song of Iansã and a new version of the Cirandeiro.
Mawaca Remix 2.0
When Mawaca performed at Rock In Rio 2000, Magda Pucci and Alex Antunes had the idea of producing a CD of remixes. André Abujamra (Suuret) AnvilFX (Cacuriá), André Gram (Ciranda Indian), Mauricio Bussab (Roxinha) were the first who bought the idea. But the issue was limited and short-run soon ended. At the request of fans of the group, Mawaca Remix back with a vengeance! Due to the bash Mawaca 10 years, the project was resumed with new remixes and today is part of the box Mawaca as CD bonus. And with each new edition, new remixes are being added. The version 2.0, produced in 2006, the Japanese music Soran Bushi got a really fun remix of Xuxa Levy and Tango dos Chavicos, the flamenco song earned a different proposal of Visavis (Jr. and Panais)
Os Lusíadas LUSÍADAS - The Camões Epic In Music
This CD is a journey on board to the world of sounds conquered by the Portuguese in the golden age of sailing times to the so desired way to India. The CD Os Lusíadas is a result of the soundtrack created for the theatre play 'The Lusiadas', produced by Ruth Escobar in 2000 in São Paulo. It is the first Portuguese version of this great epic with music by Magda Pucci that, with her group Mawaca did a wonderful job with the poetry of Camões.
Pra todo canto – Chants from everwhere
Mawaca recreates the ancestral musical forms and incorporates themes from various parts of the world, an inventive musical web. As background to this rich and incendiary music production, where many Brazilian rhythms and genres like maracatu, côco, embolada, cangomas, cordel side by side Indian mantras, Hebrew chants, Bulgarian horos and Finnish songs. With a sonorous punch, Mawaca shows the powerful music that Mawaca is able to perform on stage. Always in search of relations through melodies and rhythms, Mawaca pra todo canto is a sort of mandala made by sounds that together gets a universal sense, nothing to do with globalization, showing there are no frontiers in music.
Rupestres Sonoros – A tribute to the people from Amazonia
In Rupestres Sonoros, Mawaca offers us a repertoire of vocal and instrumental adaptations of the Menbengokrê people Paiter (Suruí), Wari´, Ikolen (Gavião) and Huni Kuin. Mawaca also gives homage to the people from Xingu and Guaporé with new songs composed by Magda Pucci as Asurini and Tupari, without forgetting the charming music that opens the CD: a special tune composed especially for them by the French composer Philippe Kadosch.

PRA TODO CANTO is the Mawaca first DVD based on their fourth CD Pra todo canto. It was a way to celebrate the 10th aniversary of Mawaca. Besides the show scenes, there is a nice documentary about the history of the group since the beginning of their career with comments about their researches and projects; interviews with musicians and critics.
As the group had always praised a very dynamic and expressive performance on stage that includes dances too, the DVD is the perfect media to reveal Mawaca in its amplitude. PRA TODO CANTO has been extremely suitable for the dissemination of Mawaca proposals and it is being used for educational purposes.

Mawaca songs became theme of the book De Todos Os Cantos Do Mundo that means From all corners of the world published by Companhia das Letrinhas, one of the most important editors in Brazil. With texts by Heloisa Prieto and Magda Pucci, the book presents the stories of the songs Mawaca has being played during its long career.
Seeing a growing interest of the children's repertoire Mawaca, Heloisa and Magda decided to develop this specific project for which they may now become involved in the cultures of various countries such as Ireland, Japan, Mexico, France, Portugal, Bulgaria, Brazil and Israel through most beloved songs of the group.
From all corners of the world 'is an invitation to open the head, heart and ears to sounds from all corners of the world. The repertoire of the show are interpreted followed by their respective histories.
